- A flash of happiness upside down -
The Rwenzori Mountains are known as the "Mountains of the Moon", with a peak at over 5000 m. The glacier water, fertile soils and abundant rains of Rwenzori provide ideal growing conditions for obtaining excellent quality arabica coffee. The coffee is harvested by hand by carefully selecting the ripe cherries. Intense, lively, round.

Zahno caféS de spécialité
rocker roaster
A letter like a flash, upside down, the last of the alphabet and the first of my name, Zahno.
My small Lausanne specialty coffee roasting company. Like a lightning. Flaming. Ideas in every way. Guitarist, rocker, candy beak and gourmet, I fall in love in 2014, besides my music for other notes. Aromatic ones. Those of coffee and its many fascinating aromas. Yet absent from local cafes. So to drink the best espresso around, I decided to prepare it myself. With this bet in mind, provoke in people my same feeling of happiness when drinking a good coffee. So I went studying more closely this little seed, its botany, its aromas, its chemistry, the profession of barista. At the Università del Caffè in Trieste and the Artisan School of Coffee in London, not forgetting ... my guitar for a concert in the City ... Z roasts only specialty Arabica coffees from small producers' cooperatives. Coffee cherries are sorted by hand during picking. I sort them again and roast them in Lausanne. And (the rest remains between us) I am proud to be the first in Lausanne in this niche area. Then, with my little hands, I pack the coffee in aluminum-free packaging with a neutral carbon print. Coffee is a simple agricultural product that needs attention. And that brings joy. Like a beautiful music that grabs the guts, that makes you dream, that reconnects. It's like watering basil. Looking in your eyes when saying cheers. It's like playing rock'n'roll very loud with your guitar.
A flash of happiness upside down.
